Our Ingredients.

Argan Oil.

Expressed from the seeds of the argan tree which is native to southwestern Morocco, argan oil is packed with nutrients beneficial for both the hair and scalp. It contains vitamins A, C and E, minerals, antioxidants, linoleic acid and omega-6 fatty acids and as a result it has very effective conditioning properties leaving hair strands shinier, softer and more manageable. It has always been associated with helping to improve hair’s elasticity and help neutralise hair damage caused by chemical treatments, hot hair driers and pollution. With molecules smaller than those of other oils, argan oil can penetrate the hair cuticles easier, thus making it very efficient in the delivery of its numerous nutrients.

Coconut Milk.

One of the key ingredients in coconut milk is lauric acid. Numerous studies have demonstrated that lauric acid has antimicrobial properties that can help prevent scalp infection and fight dandruff. It also contains vitamins E which helps fight off free radicals arising from heat, pollution and general stress, as a result of which it can help prevent hair damage. Furthermore, the cocktail of ingredients in coconut milk including vitamins B12, zinc, manganese, copper and magnesium are known to fight hair loss, promote new hair growth and for their general contribution towards silky, shiny and healthy hair and scalp.

Caffeine.

A form of testosterone called DHT (dihydrotestosterone) which can prevent nutrients reaching the hair follicles is naturally present on the scalp and believed to be a common cause of hair loss. By targeting this hormone, caffeine can fight shedding of the hair and promoting new hair growth.

The introduction of caffeine to the scalp is also known to increase the blood circulation which in turn allows more nutrients to reach the follicles which encourage healthier and stronger hair growth. Additionally studies have shown that caffeine can protect the hair from the damage caused by UV rays.

Tea Tree Oil.

Tea tree oil (melaleuca alternifolia) has been used for centuries for its naturally occurring antibacterial, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. In skincare, tea tree oil has been used to combat ailments and conditions such as acne and the same bacteria that can occur on the skin can also live on the scalp, causing other undesired effects such as dandruff which tea tree is known to fight. Additionally this essential oil is know to help clear the scalp of dead skin build up and increase the oxygen supply, resulting in healthier and stronger hair and scalp. Other properties of tea tree oil include regulating the scalp’s oil production which can result in healthier hair.

Kerarice.

Kerarice™ is a plant based active ingredient obtained from rice grain (Oryza sativa L.). It is designed to protect hair fibres from oxidative damage from the sun’s UV rays. It has been developed to particularly help dyed or bleached hair recover its brightness to its optimum colour plus to protect and enhance natural or colour treated hair from sun’s UV damage, provide resistance, flexibility and strength with total lightness, and to restore hair fibre’s internal cohesion, to make it more resistant to the sun’s radiation.

Vitamin C.

Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) is nature’s original antioxidant. As such, it can neutralise free-radicals, which could cause damage to the hair, from forming on the scalp. Vitamin C is also known to boost collagen production. The combination of these two can contribute to reduced hair loss and the promotion of new hair growth. Studies have shown Vitamin C use can lead to healthier and shinier hair, reduced premature greying and fight against dandruff.
